“I want each image to capture more than what is on the surface. It needs to tell something about the character of the woman, to record a piece of history. As an artist, my passion is to reveal the beauty around me, to illuminate the soul of my subjects and capture a unique vision.

The most exciting part of my work is telling a visual story.  I research and interview my subjects; scout locations to plan artistic compositions and then “paint” with my camera capturing intense, in-depth studies of my subjects, tableau frozen in time, at once capturing the essence of my subjects and their place in Florida’s environment and history.”- Scherley Busch
